Seed Exchange

Welcome to the 2016 American Penstemon Society Seed Exchange! The
deadline for requesting seeds is March 31, 2017.

Although we call this an "exchange", all current members may request
seed. Remember that this may be the time to renew your dues if you are
not current. If you have any membership questions, please write to our
membership chair, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Profound thanks to our SeedEx donors! Although relatively small in
number, their generosity is extraordinary and presents an amazing offering.

INSTRUCTIONS for obtaining seed from either list and a list of 2016
donors are found at the TOP of the OLD seed list. No matter what seeds
you request ->Please read these instructions.

Attached are two .pdf files:

1.APS Seed List 2016.pdf
2.APS Old Seed 2016.pdf

The attached files are in Portable Document Format, a universally safe
and readable format. You may download a free pdf reader at:
http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

Both lists will also be available on our webpage, www.apsdev.org or
www.penstemons.org, which is a wonderful resource for species and
propagation information.

For those who are new to growing or wish to review growing tips: The APS
Seed exchange represents a unique opportunity to try your hand at
growing. There is an article about growing penstemon from seed at:

http://apsdev.org/propagation/seeds.html

Also, Bob Mc Farlane's wonderful article with loads of growing tips is
available on the APS website. It is in pdf file and downloadable at:

http://apsdev.org/library/references/propagating_experience.pdf

The above links are only two of many helpful pointers.

Don't hesitate to write me if you have any questions or concerns. I am
always glad to help. As errors tend to "propagate",
suggestions/ideas/corrections are ~very welcome. If you have any "wants"
that are not found on the lists, let me know at any time so that we can
include them in future Newsletter to encourage future collection.

Have a wonderful Holiday and a Penstemon-filled 2017!

All the best, Louise Parsons
